IONSCAN^® 400B

Explosive and Narcotic Substance Detector

The IONSCAN^® 400B is the most accurate explosives and narcotics trace detector available. The unit is simple to operate and easy to maintain. The IONSCAN 400B provides the capability of detecting and identifying trace amounts of more than 40 explosive or narcotic substances in a quick 8 second analysis. The unit analyzes for either explosives or narcotics with each scan. If a contraband substance is detected, the specific name is identified on the display.

IONSCAN^® 500DT

Simultaneous Explosives and Narcotics Detection System

The IONSCAN^® 500DT utilizes dual Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) detectors and is capable of identifying sub-nanogram amounts of explosive and narcotic substances from a single sample in less than 8 seconds. The system incorporates 2 independently controlled IMS detectors in a single system, one optimized for explosives and the other for narcotics. This design enables the system to maintain optimum analysis conditions for all target substances without compromising detection performance. The IONSCAN 500DT is ideal for screening items carried into your building.

IONSCAN^® SENTINEL II

Walk Through Portal for Explosives or Narcotics

Unlike walk through metal detectors, the IONSCAN^® SENTINEL II provides security personnel with a method for screening people for drugs or explosives without having to conduct personal, inaccurate and time-consuming hand searches. The SENTINEL II detects trace amounts of more than 40 different explosives or narcotics in seconds. The optimal throughput is 6 people per minute. The SENTINEL II uses gentle puffs of air to dislodge particles on a person, thus providing true head-to-toe screening. The unit is fully automated and uses the IONSCAN 400B technology to analyze the substances. In addition, the SENTINEL II provides of photograph of the person when the unit alarms.

The IONSCAN SENTINEL II is Department of Homeland Security (DHS) certified under the Anti-Terror Technology provision of the Safety Act.

CENTURION

HVAC Monitoring System for Toxic Industrial Chemicals and Chemical Warfare Agents

The CENTURION system helps protect buildings from chemical warfare agent and toxic industrial chemical releases. Connected directly to the incoming air ducts of the HVAC system, the CENTURION continuously monitors the air to provide early warning of a chemical threat. The system can be programmed for automatic responses, including shutting down dampers, turning off fans, and sending email alerts. The CENTURION enhances your emergency plan by providing accurate and specific identification of a detected substance.

BIO-SEEQ^® MAIL SENTRY

Automated Mail and Package Biohazard Screening System

The BIO-SEEQ^® MAIL SENTRY is designed to provide reliable on-site mail screening capabilities for the presence of biological threats such as Anthrax, Ricin, Tularemia, and Plague. All mail and parcels are processed through a negative pressure cabinet which protects the operator while ensuring contaminants are not spread throughout the facility. The MAIL SENTRY utilizes multiple technologies for analysis, including Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), which provides rapid, accurate results with extremely low false alarm rates. PCR is the same technology used in the U.S. Postal Service biological detection screening system.

Hand Held PCR-based Biological Agent Detector

Bioterrorism and biological warfare pose physical threats to civilian populations. Detection systems used to identify these dangerous bacterial and viral pathogens must do so accurately and quickly in order to contain the threat and save lives. The BIO-SEEQ^® is the first portable, hand held thermocycler capable of detecting both bacterial and viral pathogens quickly and accurately using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology. It is highly specific, capable of detecting 1 CFU in as little as 30 minutes.

The RespondeR RCI^TM is a lightweight hand held spectrometer ideal for the identification of unknown solids and liquids. Samples are analyzed using either the integrated sample compartment or by the optional point-and-shoot capabilities. Raman technology is ideal for identifying samples through glass or plastic bags, in mixtures, or in water.
