Hollow Metal Doors
The SDR Series hollow metal bullet resisting door and frame provide protection at all performance levels. These doors utilize ballistic material tested to the Underwriter Laboratories standard UL-752. Since bullet resisting doors are much heavier than conventional hollow metal doors, North American uses continuous gear hinges to swing the doors. These doors are prime finished and prepped for hardware to the customer’s specification or provided with optional standard hardware. Doors are shipped prehung in the ballistic frame. Also available are standard bolt-in style frames or clamp style telescoping frames. Standard sizes with several configurations for quick delivery and custom sizes are available.

Wood Doors
The WDR series satisfy the increased need for bullet resisting interior doors and frames. This door is available in the same performance levels, sizes, and configurations as the SDR Series hollow metal door. Custom sizes are available on request. The 12 gauge prime finished hollow metal frame and continuous gear hinges are also used on the WDR Series as in the SDR Series doors. The frames are available in standard bolt-in style or clamp frame. In order to match the other doors in the building, the WDR is available in any wood veneer or plastic laminate. Birch or red oak is standard. Applied panel or rail and style custom doors are available options.
